Myriad Fae Creations
Handmade Arts and Crafts by Kate Elizabeth Davis
Whimsical and Unusual
I began crafting as a child due to a fascination with the whimsical and the unusual. Creating my own toys, dolls, and costumes from trash and scrap pieces of fabric, plastic, and metal occupied most of my childhood. Through the years, I've worked with a great variety of materials and mastered a few. From paper mache to arc welding, college gave me a chance to practice my skills and learn new techniques. I began to sell my work at fairs and festivals and sometimes out of my home.
Faeries have always been my passion, but dragons, mermaids, and unicorns are never far from my heart and imagination. In 1993, I began to use polymer clay to sculpt. The intensity of polymer clay pigment and the versatility of the medium make almost anything possible. While fantastical figurines that include mixed mediums are my obsession, if you name it, I'll make it.
